8. How Long Will You Keep My Personal Data?
We will not keep your personal data for any longer than is necessary in light of the reason for which it was first collected. In respect of the personal data provided in relation to opening an online account or placing an order, this will be stored on our systems indefinitely until you ask us to remove it from our system. This is so the online account can be continually used and also so there is record of past orders etc. Please refer to section 6 above in respect of what data we collect/store. Please note payment details are not collected by us online and these are collected and stored by out third party provider Paypal Inc. Any payments details provided over the telephone and written down are immediately shredded using a cross cut shredder once payment is processed.
9. How and Where Do You Store or Transfer My Personal Data?
We will only transfer your personal data to countries that the European Commission has deemed to provide an adequate level of personal data protection. More information is available from the European Commission. Where we transfer your data to a third party based in the US, this may be protected if they are part of the EU-US Privacy Shield. The security of your personal data is essential to us and to protect your data, we take a number of important measures, including the following:
- Our website is fully encrypted and all pages are served using 256bit https certification. Our database, admin and offline system are all protected using complex passwords, industry approved virus and firewall software. User passwords are stored using MD5 encryption. All operating systems and browsers are kept up to date to ensure the latest technology is used. That said if you suspect any data breach has occurred please contact us immediately.
10. Do You Share My Personal Data?
We may share your personal data with other companies in our supply chain. We may sometimes contract with the following third parties to supply certain product or services. - DPD : (Courier): We supply name, address, telephone number and chosen delivery instructions (e.g safe place for delivery) so delivery of goods can be executed. Please check DPD privacy policy for full information. We have written confirmation that DPD delete information stored after 3 months.
- Royal Mail: In certain circumstances we may share your address details with Royal Mail to post out products or communicate by post or send invoices.
- Paypal: When making payment via credit card or Paypal. We transfer name and address information provided during the checkout process.
