This is the current model of the surface gas meter box which was introduced due to demand for a smaller version of the surface mounted Gas Meter Box. The front box can be used as a replacement using the old back plate by removing the plastic securing fittings supplied, and replacing these with self tapping screws (not supplied). Manufactured in glass reinforced plastic the service entry is fixed on the bottom left-hand side with a built-in mounting for a PE pipe transition fitting. Gas outlet position is optional – through the bottom right-hand side or via a rear knockout.
